Information
Delicate annual. Culms 10–25 cm. high, very slender, erect or ascending. Leaf-blades 3–7 cm. long and 1–2.5 mm. wide, flat, flaccid, glabrous or with weak scattered hairs. Panicle ovate or oblong, 2–7 cm. long, very loose with capillary branches. Spikelets oblong-cuneate, 2–2.5 mm. long; lower glume 1.5–2 mm. long, the upper as long as the spikelet; lemmas ovate-oblong, 1–1.3 mm. long; awn up to 6 mm. long. Fig. 44, p. 134.
