plant 1 1/2–1 3/4 ft. high, with slender stems; leaves few, chiefly basal, erect, narrowly elongate-linear, acute, 3–5 in. long, 1–1 1/2 lin. broad, reduced to lanceolate acuminate sheaths above; racemes oblong, 2–3 1/2 in. long, rather lax, 6–15-flowered; bracts lanceolate, very acuminate, 4–6 lin. long; pedicels slender, 3/4–1 in. long; flowers white (Wylie); dorsal sepal ovate-elliptic, obtuse, concave, 1 1/2 lin. long; lateral sepals obliquely semiovate, obtuse or apiculate, about 2 lin. long; petals 2-partite; upper lobe linear, obtuse, about as long as the dorsal sepal; lower lobe lanceolate-linear, obtuse, somewhat falcate, a third longer than the upper lobe; lip 3-partite, with oblong-linear obtuse lobes; front lobe 2 lin. long; lateral pair diverging and rather shorter; spur 1/2– 3/4 in. long, slender below, somewhat thickened at the apex; column 1 lin. long, obtuse; side lobes of rostellum 1/2 lin. long; stigmas 3/4 lin. long, clavate-oblong. null
