plant 1 1/4–2 ft. high, with slender leafy stems; leaves 2 or 3 on the lower part of the stem, linear or lanceolate-linear, acute or acuminate, 2–6 in. long, 1 1/2–3 lin. broad, reduced to narrow sheaths above; racemes oblong or elongate, 2–6 in. long, lax, many-flowered; bracts lanceolate, very acuminate, 1/3–1 in. long; pedicels 5–6 lin. long; flowers small, white (Gerrard) or green (Wood); dorsal sepal ovate, obtuse, about 1 1/3 lin. long; lateral sepals obliquely oblong, obtuse, over 1 1/2 lin. long; petals simple, linear-oblong, subfalcate, subacute, as long as the dorsal sepal; lip 3-partite, about 1/4 in. long; lobes subequal and slightly thickened towards the apex; spur 7–9 lin. long, curved, cylindrical; column 3/4 lin. long, obtuse; side lobes of rostellum about half as long as the column; stigmas oblong, 3/4 lin. long. null
