Information
Terrestrial herb 15–70 cm tall.Tubers 1–2 cm long, globose, ovoid or ellipsoid.Stem leafy; leaves 4–13, the lowermost 1–2 usually sheath-like, the middle ones suberect or spreading, the largest 5–23 × 0.5–2.2 cm, lanceolate or linear; upper leaves grading into bracts.Inflorescence 5–25 × 3.5–5 cm, few to many-flowered; bracts 11–16 mm long, lanceolate, rather scarious.Flowers spreading, white, green or green and white.Pedicel and ovary 15–22 mm long.Dorsal sepal 4–7 × 1.5–3 mm, elliptic, reflexed; lateral sepals deflexed, 5.5–9.5 × 3–5.5 mm, obliquely obovate with a lateral apiculum.Petals2-lobed almost to base; upper lobe 4–6 × 0.5–1 mm, linear, ± reflexed; lower lobe 6–11 × 1.5–3 mm, oblong-lanceolate, obtuse, ± spreading.Lip deflexed, 3-lobed almost to base; mid-lobe (6)9–13 mm long, side lobes 5–9 mm long, all lobes linear, less than 1 mm wide; spur 15–25 mm long, usually slightly incurved, swollen towards apex, not or only slightly twisted in middle.Anther 1.5–3 mm tall; canals 3–6 mm long.Stigmatic arms 3–6 mm long, porrect, truncate at apex; rostellum mid-lobe 1.5–2 mm high, triangular, acute.
