Information
Terrestrial herb 15–30 cm tall; tubers up to 2 × 1 cm, ellipsoid, tomentose.Stem erect, with 2 basal leaves and several to many bract-like stem leaves along its length.Basal leaves appressed to the ground, the larger 3.5–5 × 4.5–5.5 cm, ovate to reniform, cordate at base, apiculate to rounded; stem leaves c. 25 mm long.Inflorescence 7.5–18 × 1.5–2 cm, narrowly cylindrical, densely many-flowered; bracts 13–20 mm long.Ovary and pedicel 10–11 mm long.Flowers yellow, yellow-green or green.Dorsal sepal erect, 4–7 × 3–4 mm, ovate, acute, convex; lateral sepals spreading, 4.5–7 × c. 3 mm, obliquely ovate, acuminate.Petals 2-lobed ± to base; posterior lobe 3.5–6 × 1–2 mm, adnate to dorsal sepal; anterior lobe 1–3 × c. 0.5 mm, curving upwards.Lip projecting forwards, 3-lobed with a basal undivided part 1–2 mm long, the lobes usually glabrous but rarely papillose or ciliolate; mid-lobe 4–6 mm long, c. 1 mm wide, linear; side lobes shorter and narrower, 1.5–4.5 × c. 0.5 mm; spur 8.5–10 mm long, tapering from a wide base but swollen at the apex.Anther erect, 1.5–2 mm high; canals c. 1 mm long.Stigmas porrect, narrowly club-shaped, 2–3 mm long.
