plant 1–1 1/2 ft. high, with stout leafy stems; leaves elliptic-oblong or oblong-lanceolate, acute or subacute, 1 1/2–4 in. long, subcoriaceous, decreasing upwards; racemes 3–5 in. long, dense, many-flowered; bracts ovate or ovate-lanceolate, acute or acuminate, 1/2– 3/4 in. long; pedicels 7–8 lin. long; flowers green and white; dorsal sepal elliptic-ovate, obtuse, about 1/3 in. long; lateral sepals spreading, obliquely semiovate, subobtuse, about 1/3 in. long; petals 2-partite; upper lobe narrowly linear, subobtuse, as long as the dorsal sepal; lower lobe strongly incurved, more than twice as long as the upper lobe and tapering upwards from a broader base; lip 3-partite, 1/3 in. long, with tapering lobes, the lateral pair distinctly broader at the base; spur 1/2 in. long, slender below, strongly clavate above; column over 2 lin. long, subobtuse; side lobes of rostellum 2 lin. long; stigmas 1 1/2 lin. long, very stout and capitate. null
