Information
Glabrous shrublet to c. 25 cm high, ± branched. Leaves 5–20 mm long, 0.6–1.4 mm in diam., linear, nearly cylindrical, glaucous-green, at base constricted into a short petiole on an indurated base, at apex shortly mucronate. Bracts 2–12 mm long, each supporting 1(–3) flowers; the lower ones very much like the cauline leaves. Bracteoles scale-like, c. 1.5 x 1 mm. Perianth cylindrical, in fruiting stage c. 3 mm long and c. 8 mm wide (including the wing), cylindrical to slightly obconical; wing horizontal, usually completely fused. Stamens, fruit, seed, and embryo as in previous species.
