Information
Shrub or small tree, up to 8 m high, or a climbing liana; young branches pubescent, becoming glabrous with age, older stems 4-angled. Leaves subglabrous, with minute scattered stellate hairs on both sides; blade elliptic to lanceolate, 2–6 x 1.2–3 cm, acute to acuminate at the apex, rounded or slightly unequal at the base, with serrate margin. Inflorescences solitary, axillary, 1.5–2(–3.5) cm long and 3- to several-flowered. Petals yellow, 3–5.5 x c. 1.5 mm, with nectar-producing claw. Ovary 1-celled with c. 14 ovules in each cell; style with 4 subulate stigma-lobes. Fruit unlobed, 5–8 mm in diam., globose, very minutely stellate pubescent.
