Information
Shrub or small tree, up to 3 m high; young branches brownish puberulous with scattered stellate hairs, older branches glabrous, pale brown to grey with numerous pale white lenticels. Leaves green above, pale green below, glabrous or with minute scattered hairs on veins; petiole 2.5–4 mm long, brown, puberulous; blade elliptic, 1.5–8 x 1–4 cm, obtuse to subacute at the apex, rounded at the base, with crenate margin. Inflorescences axillary, solitary or rarely 2 in each axil, very slender, with 3 flowers, 1–2.5(–3.5 in fruit) cm long; peduncle 5–16(–18.5) mm long; pedicel 4–8(–10.5) mm long. Sepals elliptic, 4.5–6 mm long. Petals yellow, oblong to obovate, 2.5–3.5 mm long, with or without nectar-producing claw. Ovary 2-celled with 4 ovules in each cell, villous; style with 4–5 broad stigma-lobes. Fruit 2-lobed or unlobed by abortion, each lobe 4–5 mm in diam.; stone rugose.
