Information
Liane or climbing or sprawling shrub several m. long; branchlets and tendrils with longitudinal densely pubescent stripes of antrorse brown hairs 0.2–0.3 mm. long, glabrescent, very slightly zig-zag. Leaf-blades broadly ovate, 4–8 cm. long, 2.4–5.8 cm. wide, very shallowly cordate to rounded, acuminate (the acumen 5–10 mm. long), serrulate or doubly serrulate, when young with dense pubescence near the veins of brownish antrorse hairs 0.2–0.4 mm. long, this pubescence much sparser and less noticeable on the mature blade, on each side of midrib with 6–8 secondary nerves; petioles 8–25 mm. long, ventrally densely pubescent with brownish hairs 0.3–0.5 mm. long. Stipules linear, ± 3 mm. long, caducous. Thyrses merely terminal, not aggregated into panicles, 4–8 cm. long, lax, ± 1 cm. thick in flower, axes densely pubescent at least when young, cymes few-flowered; peduncles of cymes ± 1 mm. long, pubescent; pedicels 0.5–1 mm. long, pubescent. Flowers yellowish or yellowish white. Cup ± 2 mm. wide, pubescent externally. Sepals ± 0.9 mm. long. Petals ± 0.9 mm. long. Style 0.3–0.5 mm. long or perhaps longer in later stages of anthesis (only young flowers seen). Fruit said to be 1.3–1.7 mm. long and broad with prominently reticulate wings.
