Information
Slender shrub, up to 2 m or more tall, with straggling branches, shortly tomentose with stellate hairs. Leaves gland-dotted; petiole 10–30 mm long; blade up to 4 x 5 cm, 3–5-lobed, cordate at the base; lobes entire, constricted at the base, obtuse or apiculate. Flowers solitary, axillary; pedicels up to 10 mm long in fruit; bracts linear. Epicalyx bracts broadly ovate, up to 2.5 x 2 cm, truncate at the base, laciniate, gland-dotted. Calyx 6–8 mm long, gland-dotted; teeth acuminate. Petals 2–3.2 cm long, cream or yellow turning pink with age, with a dark purple base. Capsule 10–15 mm long, glabrous, with black glands; seeds usually 2 in each cell, with brownish hairs.
