Information
Stems 0.5–2.5 m tall, erect, much branched from base, slender and flexible, particularly above, tomentose above. Leaves with blade 3–10(–16) x 0.1–0.2 cm, narrowly linear, apex acute, mucronate. Inflorescences with 4–8(–12) flowers; peduncles 0.5–1.5 cm long; pedicels 1.5–2.5 cm long. Sepals 2–­2.5 x 1–2 mm, ovate, acute. Corolla reflexed, white, cream or green, frequently tinged pink outside; lobes 5–9 x 3–6 mm, ovate, subacute. Corona-lobes white or green flushed with purple, (3–)4–7 x 1.5­–3(–4) mm, overtopping the column by (1–)2–3(–4) mm, oblong, rounded or truncate, entire, lacking any form of tooth on either the margins or within the cavity. Follicle 4–7 x 1–2 cm, subglobose at the base, narrowing abruptly into an attenuate beak, glabrous to tomentose, usually smooth but occasionally with pubescent filiform processes.
