corm not seen; stem simple, a foot long, bearing 2–3 reduced linear leaves; produced basal leaves 4, rigid, linear, erect, a foot long, 1/4 in. broad; spike subsecund, moderately dense, 4–10-flowered, 4–6 in. long; outer spathe-valve lanceolate, green, 3/4–1 in. long; perianth-tube 1/2 in. long; segments bright red-purple, obovate, subequal, 3/4 in. long; stamens rather shorter than the perianth-segments. null
