Information
Plants (50-)70-200 cm. high. Corm 2-3 cm. in diameter. Leaves contemporary with the flowers, 4-6(-7), at least the lower 2 basal or nearly so, narrowly lanceolate to ± linear, (5-)10-20(-30) mm. wide, ± 1/2 as long as the spike, firm textured with moderately raised and thickened midrib and margins, the upper 1-2 leaves cauline, usually imbricate, sheathing for at least 1/2 their length and often entirely. spike (2-)3-7(-10)-flowered; bracts (3.5-)4-7 cm. long. Flowers with the tube 3.5-4.5 cm. long, dorsal tepal (3.5-)4-5 cm. long. Filaments 2.5-3 cm. long, exserted 1.5-2 cm.; anthers 1.2-1.6 cm. long. Fig. 16.1.
