corm not seen; stem 1/2–1 ft. long, simple, with a rudimentary leaf at the base and a tight hairy sheath at the middle, produced into a small, erect, rigid, linear, strongly-nerved hairy blade; flowers 2–3 in a lax spike with a flexuose rachis; outer spathe-valve oblong, 1/3 in. long, brown and membranous above the base; perianth pale lilac; tube very short; segments oblong, 1/2 in. long; anthers lanceolate, 1/6 in. long, as long as the filaments; style-branches short. null
