Information
Shrub or small tree up to 4.5 m or more tall; stems glabrous to hairy. Leaf-blades narrowly to broadly elliptic or lanceolate, ± acuminate at the apex, glabrous or almost so above, sparsely to densely bristly pubescent on the venation beneath; stipules with 2 short teeth, soon falling. Flowers fragrant, solitary or in lax terminal cymes; pedicels 1–3 mm long. Calyx appressed hairy; lobes 5–6. Corolla white, the tube greenish outside; tube 15–30 mm long; lobes mostly 5, 18–28 x 11–15 mm, shortly apiculate at the apex. Fruit oblong-ellipsoid to subglobose, shortly hairy. Seeds flat, c. 1.3 mm long, almost black, pitted.
