Information
Annual, more or less erect, up to 30 cm tall, but usually much smaller; stems slender, glabrous to sparsely pubescent. Leaves mostly in whorls of 4–6; blades filiform to narrowly linear or oblanceolate, 5–17 x up to c. 1 mm, acute but not awned at the apex, scabrid with±forwardly directed hairs along margins. Cymes lax, with filiform bracts; pedicels 1–8 mm long. Corolla purplish or greenish, c. 0.5–0.8 mm in diam. Mericarps c. 0.5–0.8 mm long, densely covered with±hooked hairs to glabrous.
Range
N2, 3 Djibouti, the Mediterranean Region, Middle East and eastwards to Iran.
Altitude range
650–900 m.
