Notes
Afthule, baskala, kabagois (Som.). This species is taken here in a broad sense. The type of F. luntii from S Yemen is glandular pubescent with spinescent stipules, more or less apiculate leaves, somewhat awned sepals and apiculate petals, and agrees with forms occurring at low altitude in Somalia (e.g. Thulin & Warfa 5886). These forms intergrade with the glabrous, viscid plants with non-spinescent stipules and more or less obtuse leaves, sepals and petals that have been described as F. socotrana var. somalica. Wieland 4504, the only specimen seen from C1, differs in its long internodes (3–4.5 cm long), but appears to be conspecific.
