Description
A shrub or tree to 5½ m high, known only from N Nigeria to W Cameroons.On the Jos Plateau it is said to be the male gu, in distinction from the female gu, E. kamerunica, with which it may be planted to create a village pallisade (1). Its branches, unlike those of E. kamerunica, are not constricted into segments. The plant contains a copious latex.
