Slender terrestrial herb 20–46 cm tall.Perennating organs partly subterranean, pseudobulbous, 1.5–4 × 1–1.5 cm, conical to ovoid, forming a chain; roots 1 mm in diameter.Leaves 6–7, forming a fan, to 16 cm × 2 mm, narrowly linear, just starting to develop at flowering time.Inflorescence laxly several-flowered; scape slender, with a short sheath about halfway.Pedicel and ovary 7–11 mm long; bracts 3–7 mm long, lanceolate, acuminate.Sepals and petals brown, lip cream or creamy-mauve; spur brown, column green.Sepals erect, 10–15 × 1–1.5 mm, linear, acuminate.Petals 8–11 × 1–2 mm, narrowly oblong, acute or acuminate, lying over column, the tips recurved.Lip 10–13 × 5.5–7 mm, 3-lobed at about halfway; side lobes narrowly oblong, rounded in front; mid-lobe 5–6 × 3–4 mm, elliptic, obtuse, the margins often curved up; callus of 3 basal ridges turning to dissected lamellae, or flap-like papillae, on the mid-lobe; spur 3–4 mm long, deflexed, clavate at tip.Column 4 mm long.Capsule pendent, 13–18 mm long.
