Information
leaves about 4 or 5 in a fascicle, ensiform, acuminate, immature at flowering time, with ample oblong imbricate acute sheaths at the base; scapes lateral, 1/2– 3/4 ft. high, with several ample spathaceous acuminate sheaths; racemes subcorymbose, dense; bracts ovate-anceolate, acuminate, about 3/4 in. long; pedicels about 1/2 lin. long; flowers rather large, green and purple; sepals oblong-lanceolate, acute, nearly 1 in. long; petals elliptic-lanceolate, acute, broader than the sepals; lip broadly elliptic, 3-lobed, 3/4 in. long; side lobes broad, with rounded apex; front lobe with rounded apex, nearly as broad as long; disc with 5 to 7 verrucose keels, slightly papillose in front; spur broadly oblong, truncate, about 1/10 in. long; column clavate, 1/3 in. long. null
