Notes
I have retained F. White’ s circumscription arrived at after some 40 years of study of the genus throughout its range; it would be arrogant to disagree with such detailed study yet I can accept that some may care to keep up E. bilocularis at some level. Hiern originally separated it from E. kellau quite decisively by the couplet “ Leaves often ternate (sphalm. terete). Ovary 2-celled - E. bilocularis. Leaves subopposite. Ovary 4-celled - E. kellau ”. Gillett (12950 from K 1, Moyale) states corolla cream, slightly pinkish in male and smaller and greenish in the female. [B.V.]
