Information
 Branching herb, presumably annual; stems tough, slender, shortly ascending-hairy. Leaves narrowly obovate, 3-7 cm long, 0.3-1 cm wide, long-attenuate at the base, remotely obscurely serrate to almost entire, apex acute to obtuse, almost glabrous. Capitula in lax, much-branched compound cymes; stalks of individual capitula slender, rather sparsely ascending-pubescent; involucre turbinate, 1.5 mm in diameter at flowering time, to 2.5 mm in fruit; phyllaries 3-seriate, obovate, ± 2 mm long, obtusely acuminate, dark green in centre towards apex, glandular, ciliate. Florets 9-13 per capitulum; corolla purple, 2.5 mm long, glandular, lobes 1 mm long. Achenes turbinate, 0.7-0.8 mm long, 5-6-ribbed, with a very short apical rim.
