Information
Stem white-cottony, apparently simple, leafy. Leaves oval or linear-elliptical, acute, narrowed towards the sessile semi-amplexicaul base, acutely serrulate, white-cottony beneath, glabrescent above, 1 1/2–5 by 1/3–1 in. Capitula solitary, terminal, erect, 2/3– 3/4 in. long. Peduncle 1–1 1/2 in. Involucral bracts lanceolate, outer about 2/5 in. long, margins reddish, fimbriate-denticulate. Ligule 3/8– 1/2 in. long; inner lip bipartite, partitions linear, 1/8– 1/4 in. long. Ovary puberulous.

Mozamb. Dist. R. Shire Valley, Waller! Manganja country, alt. 3,000 ft., Kirk! (flowers scarlet).
