Information
biennial, procumbent; leaves pinnati-partite, segments petiolulate, ovate,- obtuse, unequally toothed and cut, hispidulous; stipules broadly ovate, filmy; peduncles elongate, many-flowered, glandularly pubescent; sepals mucronate, shorter than the petals. A strong-growing plant, sometimes cut for fodder, and sometimes grown in gardens for its musky fragrance. The leaves are fern-like, 6–12 inches long, variably pubescent.
Range
It is common to Europe, N. Africa, and S. America.
