Information
Erect or decumbent perennial herb with 1–several usually unbranched stems, 3–15 cm tall from a small round or turnip-shaped tuber 1–2.5 × 0.5–2.2 cm. Stems leafy, somewhat zigzag, slender, pubescent with appressed or spreading white hairs. Leaves 1-foliolate; leaflet 0.7–5.2 × 0.2–1.7 cm, elliptic-lanceolate, elliptic-oblong, obovate or even obtriangular or obcordate, acute to emarginate and also mucronulate at the apex, cuneate or narrowly rounded at the base, glabrous to very sparsely hairy on both surfaces and margins, densely glandular-punctate beneath; venation raised above; petiole obsolete or scarcely 1 mm long, often bristly pubescent; petiolule 1–2 mm long; stipules 2–3.5 × 0.5 mm, lanceolate or triangular. Inflorescences axillary, mostly hidden amongst the leaves, 1–2-flowered; peduncle 2–9 mm long, pubescent; rhachis 1–2 mm long; pedicels 0.5–2 mm long; bracts minute. Calyx pubescent and densely glandular, 2–2.5 mm long; lobes equal, ovate or narrowly triangular, ± equalling the tube in length. Standard yellow, 5–5.5 × 2.5–3.8 mm, obtriangular or obovate, emarginate, with scattered hairs and numerous greenish-yellow glands; wings deep yellow; keel greenish. Pods 6.5–8 × 5–5.5 mm, ovate- or elliptic-oblong, puberulous and with longer brown hairs c. 0.8 mm long. Seeds brown or grey-brown with dark speckling, 2.5 × 2 × 1 mm, reniform; rim aril orange.
