Information
An erect shrub, with branches clothed with dense short grey persistent pubescence. Stipules linear-lanceolate, 2 lines. Petioles erecto-patent, 1 1/2–2 in.; leaflets 3, subcoriaceous, green and shining above, persistently matted below with adpressed grey pubescence; petiolule 3/8– 5/8 in.; end one ovate-rhomboidal, almost cordate, blunt with a mucro, 2 1/2–3 1/2 in. long; lateral ones very unequal-sided. Flowers in short-stalked moderately dense terminal racemes 3–4 in. long. Bracts lanceolate, silky, subpersistent. Pedicels 1 1/2–2 lines. Calyx 1/2– 5/8 in., densely clothed with long spreading grey silky hairs, with a pair of setaceous bracteoles at the base, the lanceolate acuminate teeth much exceeding the tube. Corolla slightly exceeding the calyx, variegated with violet and yellow, sometimes almost blue. Pod densely brown-velvety, not seen mature.
