Information
Shrub or tree 1.5– 15 m high; branches glabrous to minutely puberulous. Leaves 1– 4 mm long, 0.5– 0.8(– 1) mm wide, glabrous or with several minute hairs or teeth on the margins; petiole 0.3– 0.9 mm. Flowers 2– 5 in fascicles at the ends of branches or on short side-branches; pedicel mauve to pink, 1.5– 3 mm long, glabrous or puberulous with minute simple hairs. Sepals 1– 1.6 mm long, minutely ciliolate. Corolla purple, pale pink or white, 1.7– 3.5 mm long, 1.6– 2.4 mm in diameter, the mouth 0.7– 1.6 mm across, the lobes 0.6– 1 mm long. Style 1.3– 3 mm long.

USES. None recordedCONSERVATION Data deficient (DD) The subspecies described by Spirlet was distinguished by characters that fall well within the range of variation of subsp. bequaertii. I have made it into a synonym.
