Notes
The record of E. wakefieldii (Baker) M. Ashby in Cuf. Enum.: 852 (1963) was based on material of E. gracilis. Near Mogadishu (S2), at sand dunes near the sea, there is a rather divergent form represented by, e.g., Thulin 4425 that may deserve recognition as a separate species. It is tufted, probably perennial, and has a 3.5–4.5 mm long corolla with a more than 1 mm long lower lobe.
