Information
Herb with trailing or climbing stems, from a woody rootstock. Branches hirsute. Mature leaflets discolorous, 4.8–14.5 × 2.8–4.5 cm, narrowly ovate to narrowly elliptic, occasionally lobed on one side, appressed pilose on upper side, more densely appressed pilose on the underside; petiole (0.5)1.5–6 cm long; rhachis 1.5–2 cm long; petiolules 2–4 mm long. Inflorescence a pseudoraceme or panicle, with 1–several flowers in each fascicle, the fascicles often more crowded towards the apex of the inflorescence; pedicels 3–5 mm long. Calyx 5–10(12) mm long, pilose with silvery hairs, the underlying surface blackening on drying, 5-lobed, the upper two lobes almost completely fused, all lobes tipped with (1)2 pedicellate glands 1–3 mm long or glands sometimes absent. Corolla 1–1.8 cm long. Pods 1.5–2.5 cm long, densely pilose, 1–2-seeded. Seeds 3–4 × 2 × 1 mm.
