Information
Woody-based perennial herb or shrublet, up to c. 0.6 m tall; young stems pubescent with ± spreading to appressed hairs. Leaves narrowly elliptic to ovate, 10–40 x 5–30 mm, subacute to rounded or truncate and often with a small tip at the apex, attenuate into a petiole at the base, with subentire to shallowly crenate margins, shortly pubescent on both surfaces; petiole articulated near the base. Flowers in few- to several-flowered axillary cymes; bracts linear to oblanceolate, up to c. 7 mm long. Calyx 12–17 mm long, pubescent, sometimes also glandular; lobes 3.5–7 mm long. Corolla yellowish, white, blue or violet, 16–35 mm long, pubescent outside; tube 12–28 mm long, cylindrical for most of its length and widened near throat only; lobes subequal. Capsule 11–14 mm long, shorter than calyx.

Notes
