Information
Stems club-shaped, 3–5 cm long, c. 15 mm thick, grey-green with purple markings, ascending or erect with prominent spreading teeth. Flowers 1–4 together from a stout perennial peduncle; pedicels c. 30 mm long, spreading horizontally. Corolla wholly glabrous, shiny, 30–45 mm wide, with a prominent, red-brown and minutely tuberculate annulus; lobes ovate-triangular, c. 15 mm long, markedly folded, with longitudinal furrows, when expanded 7 mm broad, yellow with large, red-brown spots. Outer corona 6.5–7.5 mm in diam, red brown; inner corona-lobes whitish, ovoid with an acute dorsal horn, 2–3 mm high.
