Information
Shrub with erect, unbranched stem 3–4 m high; leaves oblanceolate, 15–25(–50) cm long, 5–10 cm wide, pseudopetiolate, apex acute with a tiny mucro. Inflorescence terminal, with dense clusters of flowers subtended by purplish 2–5 cm long bracts, pedicels 2–3 mm long, jointed at the middle; perianth white, purple-tinged, 25–28 mm long. Fruits orange, drying black.
