Information
Erect herb 19–55 cm. high. Leaf-lamina linear-lanceolate, 1.5–5 cm. long, 0.2–0.5 cm. wide, base cuneate. Stamens subequal or markedly unequal.

A. & R. Fernandes, in Bol. Soc. Brot., sér. 2, 29: 49 (1955) & in 34: 183 (1960), recognize forma lanceolata with unequal stamens and in op. cit. 29: 50 (1955), forma subisandra A. & R. Fernandes with subequal stamens; so far only forma lanceolata has been recorded in the Flora area.
