plant 1/2–1 1/4 ft. high; stem slender, glabrous; leaves cauline, alternate, sessile, usually 3, suberect, oblong-lanceolate, acute or subacute, glabrous, 9–12 lin. long; scapes 1/2–1 1/4 ft. high, 1–4-flowered; bracts ovate or ovate-lanceolate, subacute, 5–6 lin. long; pedicels about 4 lin. long; flowers rather small, white; dorsal sepal galeate, broadly saccate, ovate, acuminate, 4–5 lin. long, with a broad mouth; lateral sepals spreading, falcate-oblong, acuminate, 4–4 1/2 lin. long, with an oblong obtuse sac below the middle; petals cohering with the dorsal sepal, falcate-lanceolate, acuminate, 4–4 1/2 lin. long; lip broadly unguiculate; limb oblong-lanceolate, acuminate, 2 1/4–2 1/2 lin. long; appendage ovate below, narrowed upwards, subobtuse, somewhat cucullate, as long as the limb; rostellum ovate, obtuse, somewhat 3-lobed at the apex; arms cartilaginous, twisted below, linear, about 2 1/4 lin. long. null
