Information
“leaves scattered, mucronate; ray-fl. neuter; achene tomentose; pappus of the tubular, fertile-fl. of 15–20 plumes, of the ray-fl. with 4–5 plumes.” DC. l. c. “Very similar in aspect to D. ericoides, but the leaves are scarcely mucronate, not aristate; the achene villous, not glabrous, and the ray-fl. neuter, not female.” DC.
