Information
plant 1–1 3/4 ft. high; stem stout; leaves radical and cauline, suberect, somewhat fleshy, the former elongate-linear, acute or acuminate, 6–11 in. long, the latter ovate-oblong, acute, 1 1/2–3 in. long; scapes 1–1 3/4 ft. high, with lanceolate acute sheaths above; spikes cylindrical, 4–9 in. long, very dense and many-flowered; bracts ovate-lanceolate, acuminate, 4–8 lin. long; pedicels about 4 lin. long; flowers small, pink; dorsal sepal galeate, broadly ovate, obtuse or minutely apiculate, 2 1/2–3 lin. long; spur descending, cylindrical, obtuse, nearly straight, rather shorter than the limb; lateral sepals obliquely ovate, apiculate, spreading, 2 1/2–3 lin. long; petals obliquely ovate, subobtuse, 2–2 1/4 lin. long; lip subspathulate-oblong, 2–2 1/4 lin. long; column very short; anther reflexed; rostellum broadly triangular-oblong, truncate; stigma pulvinate. null
