Information
plant about 10 in. high; stem rather slender; leaves about 7, somewhat arching, narrowly linear, acute, slightly broader in the upper half, 5–6 in. long, with a few membranous sheaths below; scapes about 10 in. high, with several lanceolate acuminate sheaths, 1-flowered; bracts lanceolate, aristate-acuminate, 9–10 lin. long; pedicels about 1 in. long; flowers large; dorsal sepal galeate, broadly ovate, subobtuse, 7–8 lin. long; spur conical, with obtuse or rounded apex, about 3 lin. long; lateral sepals ovate or ovate-oblong, subobtuse, spreading, 5–6 lin. long; petals strongly falcate, base obliquely dilated into a rounded crenulate lobe, about 2 lin. broad, apex 2-lobed, with acute front lobe and broader crenulate back lobe; lip unguiculate; claw 3–5 lin. long; limb abruptly dilated, 3-lobed, with linear acute crenulate lobes, side lobes 3 lin. long, front lobe twice as long; column broad, 2 lin. long; anther reflexed; rostellum 3-lobed; stigma pulvinate. null

COAST REGION Albany Div.; near Bushmans River, under 1000 ft., Drège, 3577a!
Notes
Only known from Drège's original specimen. Lindley remarks that he had not been able to ascertain the form of the petals, but he had not dissected the loose flower preserved in a capsule in his own Herbarium. Schlechter includes the species under Disa spathulata, Sw.
