Information
plant 1/2–1 1/4 ft. high; stem rather stout; leaves radical and cauline, numerous, suberect, narrowly linear, acuminate, 3–5 in. long; scapes 1/2–1 1/4 ft. high, with a few leaf-like sheaths above; spikes oblong or somewhat elongate, 1 1/2–5 in. long, dense, many-flowered; bracts ovate-lanceolate, acuminate, 1/2– 3/4 in. long; pedicels about 1/3 in. long; flowers rather small, white, spotted and somewhat suffused with purple; dorsal sepal galeate, broadly obovate, subobtuse or apiculate, 5–6 lin. long, with a short oblong sac on each side of the spur; spur descending, cylindrical, subfiliform, obtuse, 1 1/4–2 lin. long; lateral sepals falcate-oblong or ovate-oblong, subobtuse, 4–5 lin. long; petals minute, lanceolate-oblong, subobtuse, with a broad rounded basal lobe, about 1 lin. long; lip narrowly triangular-oblong, subobtuse, with incurved margin, 3–4 lin. long; column short; anther reclinate; rostellum erect, subentire, broadly triangular, obtuse; stigma pulvinate. null
