plant 6–10 in. long; stem rather slender; leaves cauline, 3–6, suberect or somewhat arcuate, lanceolate or linear-lanceolate, acute or acuminate, 2–5 in. long, 2–8 lin. broad; scapes 6–10 in. long, with one or two narrow acuminate sheaths above; spikes 1 1/2–3 in. long, somewhat lax, many-flowered; bracts lanceolate or ovate-lanceolate, acuminate, 1/4– 3/4 in. long; pedicels 5–7 lin. long; flowers rather small, white with purple spots; dorsal sepal galeate, broadly ovate, obtuse, about 3 lin. long; spur subcylindrical from a broadly conical base, subacute, much longer than the limb; lateral sepals broadly oblong, obtuse or truncate, about 3 lin. long; petals broadly falcate-oblong, obtuse, somewhat dilated at the base in front, 1 1/2 lin. long; lip spathulate from a narrow base, obtuse, 2 lin. long; column short; anther reflexed; rostellum erect, shortly tridentate, with obtuse lobes; stigma pulvinate. null
