Information
plant 1–1 3/4 ft. high; stem stout; leaves radical and cauline, the former in short lateral tufts, suberect or somewhat spreading, linear or oblong-linear, acute or acuminate, 4–8 in. long; scapes 1–1 3/4 ft. high, with several short acuminate sheaths above; spikes oblong, 2–6 in. long, dense, many-flowered; bracts ovate-anceolate, acute or acuminate, 6–10 lin. long; pedicels about 5 lin. long; flowers medium-sized, rose-coloured; dorsal sepal galeate, broadly triangular-ovate, subobtuse or apiculate, about 4 lin. long; spur cylindrical from a conical base, strongly curved from above the middle, much longer than the limb; lateral sepals obliquely ovate-oblong, obtuse, with a short stout dorsal apiculus, about 4 lin. long; petals oblong-lanceolate, subacute, rather fleshy, about 3 lin. long; lip subspathulate-oblong, obtuse, about 3 lin. long; column short; anther suberect; rostellum emarginate or shortly bilobed, with very short side lobes; stigma pulvinate. null
