Information
plant 1 1/2–2 ft. high; stem leafy; leaves rigid, ensiform, veined; scapes 1 1/2–2 ft. high; spikes lax, many-flowered; bracts very acuminate or setaceous, the lower 1 in. long, longer than the flower; pedicels slender, about 7 lin. long; flowers erect, medium-sized, rosy-red; dorsal sepal galeate, broadly ovate, subobtuse, about 5 lin. long; spur very narrowly conical, quite slender towards the apex, subobtuse, rather shorter than the limb; lateral sepals oblique, ovate-oblong, obtuse, with a short dorsal apiculus, about 5 lin. long; petals narrowly ovate-triangular, acute, 2 lin. long; lip oblong, obtuse, about 5 lin. long; column short; anther reflexed; rostellum erect, shortly bifid, with a pair of diverging arms; stigma pulvinate. null

Notes
I have only seen a single flower of the type specimen, preserved in the Lindley Herbarium.
