Information
plant 1 1/2–1 3/4 ft. high; stem rather stout; leaves cauline, few, suberect, oblong, subacute, submembranous, 2–4 in. long; scapes 1 1/2–1 3/4 ft. high, with numerous broad acuminate sheaths above; spikes 3–6 in. long, rather dense, many-flowered; bracts oblong-lanceolate, acuminate, 1–1 1/4 in. long; pedicels 8–10 lin. long; flowers rather large, somewhat fleshy, rose-coloured; dorsal sepal galeate, very broadly ovate, subobtuse or apiculate, 4–5 lin. long; spur ascending, strongly curved, cylindrical from a narrowly conical base, slightly thickened and acute above, 14–15 lin. long; lateral sepals ovate, obtuse, 5 lin. long, with a verrucose dorsal apiculus; petals broadly cordate-ovate, obtuse, 3 1/2–4 lin. long; lip narrowly ovate-oblong, very obtuse, minutely papillose, 3 1/2–4 lin. long; column short; anther reflexed; rostellum 3-lobed; stigma pulvinate. null
