Information
corm small, subglobose; tunics brown, membranous; stem simple, 1/2–1 ft. long; leaves usually 3, ciliated with short spreading hairs, lower lanceolate, acuminate, 4–6 in. long, 1/2–1 in. broad, upper much shorter, clasping the stem at the middle; spike 2–6 in. long, generally dense and many flowered; perianth 1/3– 1/2 in. long; segments whitish or tinged with red, about 1/12 in. broad; nectariferous spots and veins indistinct; anthers minute, oblong; filaments 1/6 in. long; ovary turbinate, acutely triquetrous; styles slender, 1/12 in. long; capsule 1/2 in. long. null
