Information
Forestshrub or small tree up to 30 ft. high; bole fluted; branches of young trees with large, spreading, sharp-pointed spines; bark papery, peeling, usually purple-brown, sometimes yellow-brown or green; slash pale yellow; sapwood white; flowers fragrant, corolla creamy-white; ripe fruit yellow or orange.
