Information
Forestshrub or small slender tree up to 30 ft. high; branches in pseudo-whorls; bole black with thin papery scales falling to expose powdery purple surface; slash black outside, pale yellow and fibrous inside; sapwood pale cream-yellow, hard and tough with blackish markings at centre; inflorescence drooping; corolla white or pinkish.
