Information
Small or medium-sizedforesttree 30-90 ft. high; bole fluted at the base; bark black, rough, scaling; slash black outside, deep yellow, turning orange inside; sapwood white, turning pale yellow; heartwood pinkish; leaves ashy-grey beneath; calyx pink; corolla ivory white; fruits with irritant hairs, borne on upper part of bole and main branches.
