Medium-sizedforesttree 40-60 ft. high; bark black, smooth, hard; slash black outside, yellow inside; sapwood citron-yellow, heartwood sometimes with a black centre; branchlets densely brown-villous; leaves pale and glaucous beneath; fruits orange, borne on old branches.
