Information
Spiny climber 30-40 ft. high, lacking bulbils and with numerous (up to 40) stalked edible tubers independent of each other.
Range
Sparsely cultivated in coastal West Africa from Sierra Leone to E. Nigeria. Native of E. Asia.
Notes
In Africa the introduced clones are sterile.
