sparingly hairy; stems 4–18 in. long, slender; leaves 1 by 1/2 in., tip triangular, base obtuse; petioles up to 1/2 in. long; inflorescences axillary, thin, of 3–1 spikelets; bracts 1/3 in. long and nearly as broad, round or ovate or somewhat obovate, both usually shortly acuminate, mucronate; corolla 1/2 in. long; capsule 1/3 in. long, very hairy on the margins. null
